What are the Pearson airport parking rates?

The airport posts a daily maximum of $42 at Daily Park (Terminals 1 and 3), $59 at Express Park (Terminal 1) and $32 a day at the Value Park Garage, with weekly figures on some of them. These were read as posted by the GTAA in October 2026 and they change, so confirm the day you travel at the official parking page.

Most people searching for Pearson airport parking rates want one number, and the honest answer is that there are several, because the airport sells several kinds of space. Close and covered costs more. Further out and reached by train costs less. A space booked online can price differently from one you drive up to. The table sets out the figures the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) publishes, as posted in October 2026, with what each product is for.

ProductWherePosted rate (October 2026)Weekly figure
Express ParkTerminal 1 garageDaily maximum $59No weekly maximum posted; each additional day $59
Daily ParkTerminal 1 and Terminal 3 garagesDaily maximum $42$235 for the first 7 days, then $42 a day
Value Park Garage6145 Viscount Road, by Terminal Link$32 a day$160 for the first 7 days
Value Park Lot6135 Viscount Road, by Terminal LinkOnline reservation only, price varies by dateSee the booking page

Two cautions before you do any sums. These are posted maximums and daily rates: short garage stays are charged by the 20 minutes at a rate that depends on the hour you drive in - posted in October 2026 as $6 to $8 per 20 minutes depending on the garage and the time of entry - until the daily maximum is reached. And we have not worked out the tax treatment, so check what the official page shows you will pay. The GTAA's parking page is the source of truth; the parking rates Toronto airport visitors quote on forums are often a year or two old.

Pearson airport parking Terminal 1: Express Park or Daily Park?

Pearson airport parking Terminal 1 comes in two garage products, and they suit different trips. Express Park is the higher-priced option, the one to consider when minutes matter more than dollars: a very early departure, heavy bags, small children or mobility concerns. Daily Park is the everyday garage product for a day, a weekend or a week away. The airport describes a short walk to the terminal through a climate-controlled walkway, with security patrols around the clock.

At the posted $59 daily maximum, Express Park costs noticeably more than Daily Park's $42, so over a week the difference is real money. Daily parking Terminal 1 is the middle path, and its $42 daily maximum and $235 first-week figure are the benchmark in the arithmetic further down. Two practical points from the airport's own pages: the entry clearance for the Terminal 1 Daily Park garage is posted as 2.4 metres, so roof boxes and tall vans may not fit, and that garage has no electric vehicle chargers (Express Park has them, see the EV section).

The T1 parking garage is easy to find once you are on the terminal roadway, but only if you are heading for the right building. If you are not sure which terminal your flight uses, the terminal finder answers it in one step, and the Pearson complete guide covers both terminals. Parking at the wrong one costs a long walk or a train ride.

What about Toronto Pearson parking Terminal 3?

Toronto Pearson parking Terminal 3 is Daily Park, with the same posted $42 daily maximum and $235 first-week figure as the Terminal 1 garage. The airport lists Express Park at Terminal 1, so at Terminal 3 the choice is simpler: the Terminal 3 garage if your airline uses that building, or Value Park if you would rather save money and take the train.

The posted entry clearance here is lower than at Terminal 1, 2.0 metres, which matters with a tall SUV or a roof carrier. This is also the Daily Park garage with ten electric vehicle chargers, so an EV driver who wants a charge while away should look at Terminal 3 first. Air Canada and its Star Alliance partners use Terminal 1; most other carriers use Terminal 3, and your boarding pass is the final word.

What is Value Park, and where is the Viscount Station?

Value Park is the airport's budget parking, on Viscount Road away from the terminals and joined to them by the free Terminal Link train. There are two parts to it.

  • Value Park Garage, at 6145 Viscount Road. The airport posts $32 a day, with $160 for the first seven days. The posted ride on the Terminal Link is 6 to 12 minutes to Terminals 1 and 3.
  • Value Park Lot, at 6135 Viscount Road. The airport sells it online only, booked in advance, and the price varies with the date. The posted ride is 9 to 15 minutes.

The Viscount Station is the train stop that serves both. The Terminal Link is free, runs around the clock and takes two to eight minutes between stations, with waits of roughly four to eight minutes depending on the hour. The same stop serves the Sheraton Gateway hotel and the ALT Hotel. The airport lists a separate Viscount Station Reserved Lot as well; we have not tabulated it, so check the official page if you want it.

Value Park is where the real saving sits on a long trip, and also where time costs most: the drive to Viscount Road, the walk to the station, the wait and the ride all add up at each end. On a late return with luggage and tired children, that is the thing to weigh.

Can you reserve Pearson parking online?

Yes. The airport takes online reservations for Daily Park and for both Value Park products, and for the Value Park Lot it is the only way in. The airport's own advice is to book early, and you can add car-care services at the same time.

The online price moves with the date, so a figure in last year's article is not the one you will see. If your plans might change, read the airport's parking terms and conditions before you pay; we do not paraphrase them. The airport also lists a valet product and the reserved lot at Viscount Station. We name them so you know they exist and leave the pricing to the official pages.

Where can you wait for an arrival, or pick someone up for free?

A lot of the people who search for parking at Pearson are not leaving a car at all. They are collecting someone. The airport has three official answers.

  1. The Free Waiting Area. Often called the cell phone lot, it is a pair of lots off Network Road, reached from Viscount Road. The airport posts it as free for up to 45 minutes. You turn the vehicle off, stay with it, and wait for your passenger to call after they have collected their bags. One of the two lots has electric vehicle chargers.
  2. Express Pass. A reservation lets you park in the Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 garage for up to 20 minutes at no charge while you meet or drop someone off. You are emailed a barcode that is scanned at the garage entrance, and you tell your passenger which level and space you are on. Stay longer and the posted garage rates apply for the extra time.
  3. The curb. You may stop briefly outside Arrivals or Departures to load or unload. Waiting is not allowed at the curb or on the roads leading to the terminals, and idling vehicles are watched around the clock. Stopping on the roadside approaches is posted as a fineable offence, enforced 24 hours a day. Entry to the Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 curbs is limited to vehicles under 4.5 metres.

All of this is on the airport's picking up and dropping off page and the free waiting area page, and the arrangements get adjusted from time to time, so read them the week you travel.

None of the three removes the wait. A driver in the waiting lot still has to leave the lot, find the curb and hope the passenger is standing there. With a pre-arranged chauffeur the flight is tracked so the driver knows when the aircraft is down, and the name board is in the hall. Our pickup page shows how it works door to door.

Is there accessible parking and EV charging at Pearson?

Both exist, and both are worth checking before you go rather than on the day.

Accessible parking. The airport's pages list thirty-six accessible spaces in Terminal 1, placed near pedestrian crossings and the central lobby, with similar provision in the Daily Park facilities. Read its accessible parking and transportation page for the rules. If the problem is the walk rather than the space, a chauffeur who meets you at the door and handles the luggage may remove it, and our accessible and family transfers page explains how that is arranged.

Electric vehicle charging. As posted by the GTAA in October 2026: Terminal 1 has ten chargers, in Express Park on Level 4 (Aisle C, space 19), and none in Terminal 1 Daily Park. Terminal 3 has ten chargers in Daily Park on Level 3 (Aisle D, space 5). One of the two Free Waiting Area lots also has fast chargers; the airport posts the charging fee on its EV page. The airport's EV charging page shows where they are and is the page to check, as the numbers change when units are added.

Parking for 3, 7 or 14 days: how does it compare with being driven?

This is the sum most travellers do in their heads and get wrong, so here it is in the open. The figures are the posted rates from the table, as posted in October 2026. They use the daily maximum or weekly figure for each product, which is what a long stay is charged at, and they ignore taxes and fees.

StayDaily Park (T1 or T3)Express Park (T1)Value Park Garage
3 days$126 (3 x $42)$177 (3 x $59)$96 (3 x $32)
7 days$235 (weekly maximum)$413 (7 x $59, no weekly maximum posted)$160 (weekly maximum)
14 days$529 ($235 plus 7 x $42)$826 (14 x $59)$384 ($160 plus 7 x $32)

Those are the parking sums, correct as far as the posted rates go. The Value Park Garage is cheapest at every length, and its saving over Daily Park grows with the stay: for a fortnight it is roughly $145.

What the parking figure leaves out is the rest of the trip. Driving yourself has a cost of its own: fuel, wear, and if you come in from the north or west, 407 tolls (the 407 toll calculator prices a route). It has a time cost: the garage entrance, the walk, and the exit queue on the way home. And it has a tiredness cost, whether that is driving to a 6 am flight or home after a night flight.

Being driven has a different shape: you pay for the transfer at each end and nothing for the days in between. The reservation engine on PearsonAirportTransfer.com quotes a fixed fare for your exact address before you book, so you can put the real figure for your own door beside the parking figure above instead of guessing. We print no fares on this page because they depend on the address. The flat-rate page explains what a fixed fare covers, tolls included.

Some patterns hold. A solo traveller on a short trip from nearby will usually find Value Park cheaper. A family with a car full of luggage, coming a long way and landing at midnight, often finds the comparison closer than the parking line suggests, because parking is the only line they counted.

Who should still park at Pearson?

Quite a few people. Parking is the right choice in these cases.

  • A short trip from nearby. An overnight business trip from Mississauga, with a short drive each way and light luggage, is cheap and quick to park for.
  • A late change of plan. If you decide to go this afternoon, you can drive up and park without booking. A chauffeur is a pre-arranged service, and more notice makes it work better.
  • You need your own car at the other end. A client site, a cottage with no other transport or an errand that needs your vehicle all point to parking.
  • You like driving and have no early start. A midday flight, a rested driver and a Value Park reservation made well ahead is a perfectly good way to travel.

Distance from Toronto is not a reason. We serve all of Ontario, so living in Barrie, Kitchener-Waterloo, London or Oshawa does not push you towards parking: the long-distance chauffeur page explains how those transfers work. A pre-arranged car earns its place on the early start, the late arrival, the family, the heavy luggage and the group. The Pearson airport limo page has the service in full, and the departures page explains how pickup time is planned around check-in and security.

How to use these figures

Choose the product that matches your trip, then check the number at the airport's own page before you commit. The one figure we do not print is the Value Park Lot price, because the airport sells it online only and the price moves with the date. To compare your own door with the airport, reserve a Pearson transfer and the engine shows the fixed fare for your address; the live traffic page tells you whether the approach roads are clear the morning you leave.

FAQ

Parking guide: questions answered

How much does parking at Toronto Pearson cost?

As posted by the GTAA in October 2026, Daily Park at Terminals 1 and 3 has a daily maximum of $42, Express Park at Terminal 1 has a daily maximum of $59, and the Value Park Garage is $32 a day. Daily Park is $235 for the first seven days and the Value Park Garage is $160. Check the official parking page for today's rate.

What is the cheapest official parking at Pearson?

On the figures we read, the Value Park Garage on Viscount Road is the lowest posted daily rate at $32, with $160 for the first seven days. The Value Park Lot is reservation only and its price varies by date. Both are reached by the free Terminal Link train, which adds travel time at each end.

What is the difference between Express Park and Daily Park?

Express Park is the higher-priced garage product at Terminal 1, with a posted daily maximum of $59. Daily Park is the everyday garage option at Terminals 1 and 3, with a posted daily maximum of $42. The airport lists Express Park at Terminal 1 only.

Can I reserve Pearson parking in advance?

Yes. Daily Park and both Value Park products can be reserved online, and the Value Park Lot is sold online only. Online prices can differ from the walk-up rate, so book early and read the airport's terms and conditions if your plans might change.

Is there a free place to wait for arriving passengers?

Yes. The airport's Free Waiting Area, the cell phone lot on Network Road, is posted as free for up to 45 minutes. You must switch off the vehicle and stay with it. Express Pass gives up to 20 free minutes in the Terminal 1 or 3 garage if you reserve it online first.

Can I leave my car at the curb for a few minutes?

Only to load or unload. Waiting is not allowed at the Arrivals or Departures curbs or on the roads leading to them, idling vehicles are monitored, and roadside parking on the approaches is fined. Vehicles over 4.5 metres cannot use the Terminal 1 and 3 curbs.

Does Pearson have EV charging in its parking?

Yes. As posted in October 2026, Terminal 1 has ten chargers in Express Park (none in Terminal 1 Daily Park), Terminal 3 has ten in Daily Park, and one of the two Free Waiting Area lots has chargers. The airport's EV page lists the locations and the charging fee.

Is a car service cheaper than parking at Pearson?

Not always, and we will not pretend otherwise: for a short solo trip from nearby, Value Park is hard to beat on price. Being driven earns its place on early starts, late arrivals, families, long distances and long trips. The reservation engine quotes a fixed fare for your exact address before you book, so you can compare.
