Two memberships, and what each does for a passenger

We are members of LimousineWorldwide.Directory — the worldwide directory of limousine, black-car and chauffeur operators, through which a Toronto client is met at the arrivals exit by a vetted operator in 59 countries — and LimousineAssociation.International, the association whose standards on licensing, commercial insurance, vehicle inspection and chauffeur conduct we commit to. The first extends the service beyond our own fleet; the second is the standard behind it.

Membership badges on a limousine website are usually decoration. These two are operational: one is how a booking for Frankfurt or Dubai gets fulfilled by a chauffeur we would send ourselves, and the other is a set of commitments a passenger can hold us to. This page explains both, and the wider network of travel partners this site links to.

A partnership is a standard both sides keep — the network is how a Toronto booking is honoured abroad

LimousineWorldwide.Directory: how a Toronto booking is met abroad

The directory lists chauffeured operators by country and city, each vetted on licensing, insurance and vehicle standards before listing. When a client who books Pearson with us also needs a car at Heathrow, Charles de Gaulle, Dubai or Delhi, the far end is arranged through a listed operator: the booking is confirmed in writing before departure with the operator's name, the meeting point and the fixed fare, the chauffeur meets the flight with a name board exactly as at Pearson, and the invoice comes from us. The worldwide page lists the 59 countries; the Canada page lists the twelve provinces and territories outside Ontario served the same way. Our own fleet covers Ontario and the United States.

LimousineAssociation.International: the standard you cannot check from the back seat

The association's member commitments are the things a passenger has no way of verifying at the curb, which is the point of publishing them:

  • Licensing — every chauffeur holds the commercial licence for the jurisdiction and, at Pearson, the GTAA's pre-arranged registration.
  • Commercial insurance — every vehicle is insured for hire, not on a private policy.
  • Vehicle inspection — the inspection cycle Ontario requires of livery vehicles, and winter tyres from November.
  • Chauffeur conduct — named on the confirmation, presentable, on time, no meter and no negotiation at the car.
  • Transparent pricing — a fare fixed before the trip, inclusive of tolls and fees, with waiting rules shown at booking.
  • Duty of care — the chauffeur's name, mobile and plate on every confirmation.

Those are the commitments; the about page describes how we keep them.

Why the network matters for corporate accounts

A corporate account that books a visiting executive from Frankfurt into Pearson, a day of meetings in Toronto and a flight to New York books all three legs with one contact, and the New York end is our own fleet or a network operator on the same invoice. Travel managers value the single point of accountability more than the badges; the network is how it is delivered.

The travel desk: BookingWorldwide.net

We are partnered with BookingWorldwide.net for the rest of the trip — flights, hotels, resorts, activities, packages and car rental — so that the chauffeur at this end and everything at the far end can be arranged together. The tiles at the bottom of every page link to it; it is a separate service with its own booking engine, and it is the one we use ourselves.

The wider network of sites

This site is one of a family of travel and chauffeur properties that link to each other: Onroutz.com for private chauffeured transport booked worldwide, HotelsWorldwide.Directory for hotels, VacationsWorldwide.Directory for destinations and tours, and the two memberships above. Links to them appear in the footer of every page; none of them changes the fare or the service on this one.

What membership does not mean

It does not mean every operator in the directory is ours, and we say so: Ontario and the United States are our own fleet, and every other province and country is a listed operator we have confirmed for the booking. It does not mean an award or a rating — we hold neither and claim neither. And it does not change the fixed fare: the reservation engine quotes the Toronto legs, and the network legs are quoted in writing before departure.

How to verify

Both organisations list their members publicly; our listings are at the links above. The GTAA's pre-arranged programme registers chauffeurs individually and the registration is carried in the vehicle. For a corporate account, we provide the insurance certificate and the licensing record on request.

Book the Pearson legs; we arrange the far end

Joining the network

Operators elsewhere who meet the standards above can apply to LimousineWorldwide.Directory and LimousineAssociation.International; the links are on the membership block at the bottom of every page.

How a network booking is confirmed

The Toronto legs are booked on the reservation engine as usual. For the far end, you send the destination, the flight, the party and the bags; we place the booking with the listed operator for that city, receive their confirmation, and send you a single written confirmation with the operator's name, the meeting point, the chauffeur's contact and the fixed fare in the local currency and in Canadian dollars. Payment is to us; the operator is paid by us. If the far end cannot be met to the standard — a city with no listed operator, a vehicle class that does not exist locally — we say so before you book rather than after.

Countries and cities most often booked

London Heathrow and Gatwick, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Dubai, Delhi and Mumbai, Hong Kong and Singapore, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Mexico City and Cancun, and the Caribbean resort islands — the destinations a Toronto traveller flies to most. Each will have its own guide on this site; the network operator in each is confirmed per booking. The worldwide page lists all 59 countries by region.

Canada beyond Ontario

Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa's Quebec side, Halifax, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria are served through listed operators in the same way, confirmed in writing; Ottawa itself is within our own fleet's range as a long-distance run. The Canada page lists the provinces and territories with their gateway airports.

The standard, applied to the network

A listed operator is asked for the same things we ask of ourselves: a licensed chauffeur, commercial insurance, an inspected vehicle, a name board at the meeting point, a fixed fare, and a confirmation with the chauffeur's contact. Where an operator does not meet the standard for a booking, it is not used. That is what vetting means in practice, and it is why the directory exists.

Membership, in the passenger's terms

For a passenger, the two memberships mean three practical things. First, that a booking abroad is met by an operator who has been checked before being listed, not one found on a search engine the night before. Second, that the standard the chauffeur at Pearson keeps — licensed, insured, inspected, named, fixed-fare — is a standard we have committed to in writing to an association that lists us, and can be held to. Third, that the far end and the near end are on one confirmation and one invoice, with one contact if anything goes wrong. None of this is visible in the car; all of it is the reason the car turns up.

LimousineWorldwide.Directory, in detail

The directory is organised by country, region and city, listing chauffeured operators with their vehicle classes, service areas and contact details, and it is the working tool through which member operators place bookings with each other. An operator is listed after its licensing, insurance and vehicle standards are confirmed, and delisted if a member reports a failure. For a Toronto operator it is both a source of bookings — visitors to Toronto placed by operators abroad — and a destination for them, and the two directions are what keep the standard mutual. The join page describes the listing requirements.

LimousineAssociation.International, in detail

The association is the standards body: it publishes the member commitments listed above, provides a reference point for corporate travel managers and procurement teams who need to verify an operator, and gives members a channel to raise and resolve service failures across borders. Membership is annual and conditional on the commitments; the join page sets them out.

Fares on network legs

A network leg is quoted in the local operator's currency and converted to Canadian dollars on the written confirmation at the rate on the day of booking; the Canadian-dollar figure is what is invoiced. Tolls, airport fees and waiting are included on the same basis as at Pearson; gratuity follows local custom and is noted on the confirmation.

When the network is not used

Ontario and the United States are our own fleet; a booking there never goes to a network operator. Within Canada, Ottawa and the near Quebec cities are within our own long-distance range and quoted as such; beyond, the network is used and the confirmation says so.

FAQ

Memberships & network: questions answered

Do you list other operators on this site?

No — this is an operator's site, not a directory. The directory is LimousineWorldwide.Directory, linked here; we are listed in it.

Do the memberships change the fare at Pearson?

No. The reservation engine quotes the Toronto legs as it always does; the memberships extend the service abroad and commit us to a standard, and neither adds a line to the fare.

How long does a network confirmation take?

Usually the same business day for the major cities and within two for smaller ones; the written confirmation with the operator's name and the fare arrives before you pay, and nothing is charged until it does.

How is a network leg priced and paid?

Quoted in the local operator's currency and converted to Canadian dollars on the written confirmation at the day's rate; paid to us and invoiced by us; tolls, airport fees and waiting included on the same basis as at Pearson.

What happens if a network operator fails to show?

You call the number on the confirmation — ours — at any hour, and we resolve it with the operator and, where needed, source a replacement; the association's channel is used for any failure afterwards. It is why the single contact matters.

Can I book a network leg without booking a Pearson leg?

Yes, for existing clients and corporate accounts; for a first booking we ask that the Toronto legs run through the engine so that the account and the contact are established.

Are Ottawa and Montreal network legs or your own fleet?

Ottawa is within our own long-distance range and quoted as such; Montreal and Quebec City are served through listed operators, confirmed in writing, or as a long-distance run from Toronto on request.

Which travel partner handles flights and hotels?

BookingWorldwide.net, linked at the bottom of every page — a separate service with its own engine, and the one we use ourselves for the rest of a trip.

Can you arrange a chauffeur for me in another country?

Yes — through the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, in 59 countries. The booking is confirmed in writing before departure with the operator's name, the meeting point and the fixed fare, and the invoice comes from us.

Is the driver abroad your employee?

No — a vetted operator listed in the directory, confirmed for the booking. Ontario and the United States are our own fleet; every other province and country is a listed operator, and every page says which.

What do the association's standards cover?

Licensing, commercial insurance, vehicle inspection, chauffeur conduct, transparent pricing and duty-of-care records — the things a passenger cannot check from the back seat.

Do you hold awards or ratings?

No, and we do not claim any. The memberships are operational commitments, not decorations.

What is BookingWorldwide.net?

Our travel-desk partner for flights, hotels, resorts, activities, packages and car rental — a separate service linked at the bottom of every page.

Can I verify your membership?

Yes — both organisations list members publicly at the links on this page, and for corporate accounts we provide the insurance certificate and licensing record on request.
