Where does a pre-arranged chauffeur pick you up at Pearson?
Two ways, chosen at booking. The standard pickup — included in every fare — is curbside: the chauffeur brings the car to the GTAA pre-arranged pickup area outside the arrivals hall (Terminal 1 near Door A, Terminal 3 by the arrivals exit), sends you the position by text, and loads the bags. Meet and greet is a paid add-on: the chauffeur waits inside the hall with a board carrying your name, takes the trolley and walks you to the car. Either way the pickup is flight-tracked, and sixty minutes of waiting are included on international arrivals, thirty on domestic.
The pickup is the moment that separates a pre-arranged chauffeur from every other car at the airport. The taxi and limo lines are outside at Door C and Door E; the rideshare zones are in the garages; the hotel shuttles load at curbside stops. All of them require you to find them, with your bags, after a long flight. The pre-arranged pickup is the GTAA's own programme for chauffeurs meeting booked passengers, and it is built around one idea: someone is already there.

Terminal 1, door by door
Terminal 1 is the Air Canada and Star Alliance building and the larger of the two. International arrivals clear Canadian customs downstairs and come up into the arrivals hall on Level 1; domestic arrivals enter the same hall from the domestic gates. The pre-arranged desk is at the west end of the hall near Door A, and the chauffeur waits beside it with your name on a board. The vehicle is either brought to the pre-arranged curb outside that door or parked in the Terminal 1 garage a few minutes' walk away, depending on the hour and the airport's curb management. The walk-up taxi and limo lines are further east at Door C; you do not pass through them.
Terminal 3, door by door
Terminal 3 handles WestJet, Porter's Pearson flights, Air Transat, Sunwing and most non-Star-Alliance international carriers. Arrivals come through customs into the arrivals hall on the same level as the baggage carousels, and the chauffeur waits in that hall with the board. The vehicle is at the pre-arranged pickup point or in the Terminal 3 garage, reached by a short covered walk. The walk-up lines are outside at Door E.
The Pearson complete guide has both halls mapped in detail, with the shuttle stops, the UP Express entrance and the Terminal Link train; the terminal finder tells you which terminal your airline uses.
Flight tracking: the pickup that moves with the aircraft
You give us the flight number at booking. From the moment the aircraft leaves its origin we follow the airline's live arrival time, and the chauffeur's timing follows it. Land twenty minutes early and the chauffeur is early; land two hours late and the chauffeur is two hours late, at no cost; divert to Hamilton or Buffalo and we tell you what we are doing before you have turned your phone on. Sixty minutes of waiting are included from touchdown on international arrivals, thirty on domestic, which covers a normal customs and baggage queue at Pearson. If the queue runs past the hour — it happens on a summer Sunday evening with several wide-bodies down at once — we tell you before any waiting charge applies.

Luggage, trolleys and the walk to the car
The chauffeur takes the trolley from you at the meeting point. Pearson's arrivals halls are large and the garages are a few minutes' walk under cover; the chauffeur knows the shortest route from each hall to the vehicle and handles the bags from the hall to the boot. If you are travelling with more than the vehicle class carries — an extra case bought abroad, a set of skis — the chauffeur will tell you honestly whether it fits, and the engine will have offered a larger class if the bag count you entered needed one. Capacities for each class are on the fleet page.
Children, car seats and strollers
Ontario's child-seat law applies in a chauffeured vehicle exactly as in your own car. Add a rear-facing, forward-facing or booster seat at booking and it is installed before the chauffeur leaves the base — not improvised at the curb. Strollers fold into the boot of any class; a family with a stroller, a car seat and a week's luggage is usually best in the Luxury SUV, which carries six and five large bags. Tell us the children's ages at booking and the seats are right.
Visitors, first-timers and the name board
For a guest arriving from abroad at an unfamiliar airport at night, the name board is the whole service. A visiting speaker met by name, an elderly relative walked to the car, an exchange student on a first trip to Canada: the chauffeur is the first person they meet, and the corporate accounts of universities, hospitals and companies use the pickup for exactly that reason. If the passenger does not have a Canadian phone, tell us; the chauffeur will use the board and the airline's data rather than a call.
Accessible pickups
Passengers who need assistance from the aircraft are met at the gate by the airport's own accessibility service and brought to the arrivals hall; our chauffeur takes over at the meeting point. Folding wheelchairs travel in any vehicle class; the SUV and the Sprinter take larger equipment. Note the requirement at booking and the right vehicle is assigned without extra charge.
What the pickup costs
The pickup is inside the fixed fare the reservation engine quotes for your address and vehicle class: the chauffeur, the vehicle, curbside pickup at the terminal, flight tracking, sixty minutes of waiting from touchdown on international arrivals (thirty on domestic), tolls, the GTAA's pre-arranged pickup fee and taxes. There is no separate meet-and-greet charge and no surcharge for a late flight. Gratuity is at your discretion. The flat-rate page explains the whole fare, and the Pearson limo page compares it with the curbside options.
Groups and multiple flights
For a group landing on several flights, we meet each flight with its own vehicle or hold a Sprinter at one pre-arranged point in the hall until the last flight lands — give us every flight number at booking. The private shuttle page covers group pickups.

Then the drive
From the pickup, every Ontario address is quoted by the engine and the route pages describe the common journeys by hour — downtown Toronto, Niagara Falls, Kitchener-Waterloo, Barrie and the rest. The chauffeur watches the Ontario 511 boards and takes the 407 when it is faster, with the toll inside the fare. Cross-border pickups to Buffalo, Detroit and beyond are on the cross-border page.
What the confirmation contains
Every booking returns an email with the flight number we are tracking, the terminal and meeting point, the destination, the vehicle class and the fare; on the day it is followed by the chauffeur's name, mobile number and the vehicle plate. Changes are a reply or a call at any hour. A delayed flight changes nothing; a cancelled one moves the pickup to the new flight with one message.
A worked arrival, minute by minute
An Air Transat flight from Paris is due at Terminal 3 at 4:40 pm. At 2 pm the airline's feed shows it running twenty-five minutes late; the chauffeur's plan moves to 5:05. The aircraft lands at 5:03 and the sixty-minute clock starts. Customs at Terminal 3 on a Tuesday takes thirty minutes; bags are on the carousel by 5:40; the passenger walks into the arrivals hall at 5:48 and finds the board. Bags on the trolley, a three-minute walk to the garage, and the car is moving at 5:55 — fifty-two minutes after touchdown, inside the included hour, with nothing charged for the delay. That is an ordinary pickup, and the confirmation fare is the fare.
When customs runs long
A summer Sunday evening with three wide-bodies landing within twenty minutes of each other is the case where the hall fills and the clearance runs past the hour. The chauffeur stays; we tell you before any waiting charge applies; and the rate for time beyond the included hour was shown at booking, not decided at the curb. In practice the extension is rare and small, and the alternative — a rideshare that cancelled after ten minutes, or a taxi line you join with the same three wide-bodies' worth of passengers — is the comparison.
Missed pickups, and why they almost never happen
The chauffeur has your flight number, your name, your mobile number and the airline's live data; you have the chauffeur's name, mobile number and plate on the confirmation. If you cannot find the board — the hall is crowded, or you exited by a different door — the confirmation number is the fastest route: call it and the chauffeur walks to you. If you land without a working phone, stand at the pre-arranged desk at Terminal 1 or by the baggage-claim exit at Terminal 3 and the chauffeur will find you; that is what the meeting points are for.
Curbside or meet and greet: which to choose
Curbside is the standard pickup and it is in every fare: the chauffeur is at the GTAA pre-arranged pickup area outside the arrivals hall the moment you clear customs, you get a text with the door and the plate, and the bags go into the boot. It suits regulars, business travellers with hand luggage and anyone who knows the airport. Meet and greet is the add-on for the arrival that needs a person inside: a first visit, a family with children, an older relative, a client you want received properly. The chauffeur is inside the hall with a name board, takes the trolley and walks you to the car. It is priced as a line on the booking and shown in the fare before you confirm; nothing about it is negotiated at the curb.
What the chauffeur knows before you land
Your name, the flight number and its live status, the terminal and the meeting point, the destination and any notes you added, the vehicle class and its bag capacity, whether a child seat is fitted, and your mobile number. What the chauffeur does not have is your fare — it was fixed at booking and it is on your confirmation, not negotiated at the car. That separation is deliberate.
Both terminals, in one line each
Terminal 1: arrivals Level 1, pre-arranged desk near Door A, chauffeur beside it. Terminal 3: arrivals hall by baggage claim, chauffeur in the hall. Both: a name board, your bags handled, sixty minutes included from touchdown, and the fare on your confirmation.
Airport pickup & meet-and-greet: questions answered
Is there a charge for the name board or the walk to the car?
Curbside pickup — the chauffeur at the terminal door, luggage into the boot — is part of the fixed fare. Meet and greet inside the arrivals hall with a name board (paid add-on) is a paid add-on, selected at booking and shown in the fare before you confirm.
Can I be picked up at Pearson and dropped at Billy Bishop for a connecting flight?
Yes — the two-airport connection is a transfer we run with both flight numbers, timed to the inbound arrival and Porter's check-in cut-off.
Where do I meet my driver at Pearson Terminal 1?
Curbside, at the pre-arranged pickup area outside the arrivals hall near Door A — the chauffeur texts you the door and the plate. With the meet-and-greet add-on, inside the hall on Level 1 beside the pre-arranged desk, holding a board with your name. Either way you never join the taxi and limo lines at Door C.
Where do I meet my driver at Pearson Terminal 3?
Curbside at the pre-arranged pickup point outside the arrivals exit as standard; with the meet-and-greet add-on, in the arrivals hall on the same level as baggage claim with a name board, then a short covered walk to the vehicle.
How long will the chauffeur wait if my flight is delayed?
The pickup follows the airline's live arrival time, so a delay costs nothing. Sixty minutes of waiting are included from the moment an international flight lands, thirty for a domestic one, covering a normal customs and baggage queue; if it runs longer we tell you before any charge applies.
Is meet and greet extra?
Yes. Meet and greet inside the arrivals hall with a name board is a paid add-on chosen at booking and shown in the fare before you confirm. Curbside pickup at the terminal door, flight tracking and the included waiting are part of every fixed fare.
Do you provide child seats for the pickup?
Yes — rear-facing, forward-facing and booster seats, installed before pickup if you add them at booking. Tell us the children's ages.
What if I don't have a Canadian phone number?
Tell us at booking. The chauffeur uses the name board and the airline's arrival data rather than a call, and the confirmation carries the chauffeur's number for when you connect to Wi-Fi.
Can the chauffeur help with luggage?
Yes. The chauffeur takes the trolley at the meeting point and handles the bags from the hall to the boot.
How does a Toronto Pearson airport pickup work after customs?
For a Toronto Pearson airport pickup the chauffeur tracks the flight and waits through customs; the car is at the pre-arranged curb outside arrivals, or with meet-and-greet the chauffeur is inside - near Door A in Terminal 1, by baggage claim in Terminal 3. The included waiting time starts when the flight lands.
Can I book a limo from Pearson airport to another city?
Yes. A limo from Pearson airport runs to any Ontario address and across the border, and a car service from Pearson airport to Niagara, Kitchener, London or Barrie is quoted for the exact address like any other trip.
