Pearson Airport to Exhibition Place & Ontario Place

Exhibition Place is the city's fairground on the western waterfront — the Princes' Gates on Lake Shore, the CNE for three weeks each August, BMO Field, the Enercare Centre's trade shows, the Royal Winter Fair in November — and Ontario Place beside it is Budweiser Stage and the lakeside park. It is the closest big venue to Pearson, twenty-five minutes down the Gardiner, and this page is the transfer, the closures and the calendar.

How do I get from Pearson Airport to Exhibition Place?

By chauffeur it is twenty-five to forty minutes: the 427 south to the Gardiner, east along the lake to the Jameson or Dufferin exit, and to the drop — the Princes' Gates on Lake Shore Boulevard for the CNE and the Enercare Centre, the Manitoba Drive or Princes' Boulevard gates for BMO Field, and the Ontario Place entrance on Lake Shore at Remembrance Drive for Budweiser Stage — delivered as a fixed fare by vehicle class. Curbside pickup at Pearson's pre-arranged area is included with sixty minutes of waiting on international arrivals and thirty on domestic; meet and greet inside the hall is a paid add-on. The reservation engine shows the fare before you pay.

The UP Express to Union and the GO train one stop west to Exhibition station — or the streetcar along Bathurst — is the honest alternative for a visitor with a backpack, and on a CNE Saturday, when the Gardiner's Jameson ramp is a queue, it is the faster one; this page says so. What the train does not do is carry a family's stroller and the day's shopping, hold the luggage during a concert, or wait on Lake Shore at eleven when Budweiser Stage empties; the chauffeur is the version that does, and the event page explains the pattern.

The grounds, the gates and the closures

Exhibition Place's gates are on its three sides — the Princes' Gates at the east end of Lake Shore Boulevard, the Dufferin Gates on the north-west, and the Manitoba Drive entrance off Lake Shore on the south — and which one the chauffeur uses depends on the event: the Princes' Gates for the CNE and the Enercare Centre's shows, Manitoba Drive or Princes' Boulevard for BMO Field, the Dufferin Gates when the Lake Shore side is closed. On a CNE day and a BMO Field match day Lake Shore Boulevard closes to cars between Strachan and Dufferin an hour before the event, and the drop moves to Strachan Avenue at the Princes' Gates or to King Street at Dufferin, a five-minute walk; the pickup after a match or a concert is on Strachan or on Lake Shore west of Dufferin, with the point texted before the final whistle or the encore. The chauffeur plans the gate and the pickup from the live feed.

The CNE: three weeks in August

The Canadian National Exhibition fills the grounds for the three weeks before Labour Day — the midway, the food building, the air show on the last weekend, the concerts at the bandshell — and draws over a million people, most of them on the weekends. The family day at the Ex from the airport is the transfer with the seats fitted and the stroller in the boot: a family landing in the morning is at the Princes' Gates by noon with the luggage in the boot and at the hotel by dinner, with the family page explaining the seats; a family at a downtown hotel books the Ex as a day with the chauffeur returning at a set time, because holding on a CNE weekend means holding on Strachan Avenue. The air show weekend is the busiest three days of the year on the western Gardiner and the chauffeur builds the buffer in.

BMO Field: TFC, the Argonauts and the 2026 World Cup

BMO Field on the grounds' south side is the home of Toronto FC and the Argonauts and the venue for Toronto's matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and a match day is the event pattern with the closures: the drop on Manitoba Drive or Princes' Boulevard from the Lake Shore side, or at Strachan when Lake Shore is closed, and the pickup on Strachan or Lake Shore west with the point texted before the final whistle. A fan flying in for a World Cup match books the Pearson arrival to a hotel — the Hotel X on the grounds themselves, the Liberty Village hotels, or the downtown ones fifteen minutes east — the match on the event pattern, and the departure timed to the flight, on one confirmation; a group of ten in the Sprinter from Mississauga is one fare split however they like. The Rogers Centre page covers the city's other venues.

Budweiser Stage, Ontario Place and the summer concerts

Budweiser Stage on Ontario Place is the city's outdoor amphitheatre — the summer's touring acts from May to September, the lawn behind the pavilion, the lake behind the stage — and a concert night is the event pattern with Ontario Place's own closures: the drop at the Remembrance Drive entrance off Lake Shore, and the pickup on Lake Shore west of the entrance or on Strachan with the point texted before the encore, because the Ontario Place lot and Lake Shore eastbound are a forty-minute queue after a sold-out show. A group of eight in the Sprinter with the bar stocked and the drive home on the Gardiner asleep is the booking this stage sees most; the Ontario Place park itself — the trails, the beach, the winter skating trail — is a free afternoon on the waterfront beside the stage.

The Enercare Centre, the Royal Winter Fair and the trade shows

The Enercare Centre and the Beanfield Centre on the grounds host the city's largest trade and consumer shows — the auto show's overflow, the boat show, the home shows, the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in November with its horse show and its farm animals — and the exhibitor and the delegate are the corporate account traffic: the airport transfer to a hotel, the standing car to the Princes' Gates each morning for a week, the departure timed to the flight, invoiced monthly, with the exhibitors' crates on the shuttle pattern from the airport's cargo area. The Royal is the family's November day on the same pattern as the Ex, and the Hotel X on the grounds is the exhibitor's hotel.

What the fare includes

The fare from Pearson to Exhibition Place or Ontario Place is fixed by vehicle class and includes the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, tolls, taxes, curbside pickup at the pre-arranged area and the included waiting with the flight tracked; meet and greet is the paid add-on; gratuity is never added; a cancellation before dispatch is free; a wait through an event is billed at the hourly rate in fifteen-minute units when the same car holds, and tickets for the Ex, the matches and the concerts are bought from the venues, not from us.

Liberty Village and the hotels beside the grounds

The grounds' neighbourhood is Liberty Village on their north side — the converted factories, the condos, the restaurants along Liberty Street and East Liberty — and the hotels for a visitor whose event is on the grounds are there: the Hotel X on the grounds themselves with its rooftop pool over the lake, the Liberty Village hotels five minutes' walk, the Gladstone House and the Drake on Queen West ten minutes north, and the downtown hotels fifteen minutes east. A fan flying in for a World Cup match or a delegate for a trade show books the Pearson arrival to any of them as the downtown fare, and the hotels hub lists the doors; the Exhibition GO station on the grounds is the connection for a visitor going downtown by train after a chauffeured start.

The winter grounds: the Royal, the auto show and the skating trail

Exhibition Place's winter is its trade-show season and the Royal: the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in November fills the Enercare Centre and the Coliseum with the horse show, the farm animals and the food hall for ten days, and the family's November day is on the same pattern as the Ex with the seats fitted; the auto show's overflow and the boat show in January and February fill the halls with exhibitors on the corporate account; and Ontario Place's winter skating trail through the lakeside park is the free afternoon beside the empty stage. The Gardiner in a January squall is the consideration, and the chauffeur reads Ontario 511 before leaving.

FAQ

Exhibition Place & Ontario Place: questions answered

Where does the chauffeur drop for the CNE?

At the Princes' Gates on Lake Shore Boulevard on an ordinary day, and on Strachan Avenue at the gates or at King and Dufferin when Lake Shore is closed for the fair; the pickup is on Strachan with the point texted.

Where does the chauffeur drop for BMO Field?

On Manitoba Drive or Princes' Boulevard from the Lake Shore side, or at Strachan when Lake Shore is closed for the match; the pickup is on Strachan or Lake Shore west with the point texted before the final whistle.

Is the GO train a better option on a CNE Saturday?

For a visitor with a backpack, yes — Exhibition station is on the grounds and the Gardiner's Jameson ramp is a queue. For a family with a stroller and the day's shopping, or a car waiting on Strachan at closing, the chauffeur is the answer.

How does a Budweiser Stage pickup work after a sold-out show?

The chauffeur waits on Lake Shore west of the Ontario Place entrance or on Strachan, with the point texted before the encore, because the Ontario Place lot and Lake Shore eastbound are a forty-minute queue.

Do you serve the 2026 World Cup matches at BMO Field?

Yes — on the event pattern with the closures planned from the live feed; a fan flying in books the arrival to a hotel, the match and the departure on one confirmation, and a group of ten travels in the Sprinter.

Which hotels are closest to the grounds?

The Hotel X is on the grounds; the Liberty Village hotels are five minutes; the downtown hotels fifteen minutes east. The Pearson transfer to each is the downtown fare.

Do you handle trade-show exhibitors at the Enercare Centre?

Yes — on a corporate account: the airport transfer, the standing car to the Princes' Gates each morning for the show's week, and the departure timed to the flight, with crates on the shuttle pattern.

Can we do the Royal Winter Fair with children?

Yes — the November family day on the same pattern as the Ex: the seats fitted, the stroller in the boot, the drop at the Princes' Gates and the return at a set time.

Can the chauffeur wait through a concert or a match?

Yes — at the hourly rate in fifteen-minute units, holding on Strachan or in Liberty Village. Most fans book a return for a set time after the final whistle, which is cheaper.

How many fit the Sprinter for a concert night?

Up to ten with the bar stocked, collected from one or two addresses; one fare for the vehicle, split however the group likes, and the Gardiner home asleep.

Is Ontario Place open outside concert nights?

Yes — the park's trails, the beach and the winter skating trail are free, and the afternoon on the waterfront beside the stage is a fixed fare from Pearson or a leg on an hourly day.

Is the air-show weekend different?

It is the busiest three days of the year on the western Gardiner; the chauffeur builds the buffer in from the live feed and drops at Strachan or King and Dufferin.

Can we get from the grounds to downtown by train after a chauffeured drop?

Yes — the Exhibition GO station is on the grounds and Union is one stop east; a visitor who wants the car for the arrival and the train for the day books the drop at the Princes' Gates and the pickup downtown later.

Is the Hotel X on the grounds?

Yes — on the east side of Exhibition Place with its rooftop pool over the lake, and the Pearson transfer to it is the downtown fare; the Liberty Village hotels are five minutes' walk.

Do you take families to the Royal Winter Fair?

Yes — the November family day on the Ex's pattern: seats fitted, the stroller in the boot, the drop at the Princes' Gates and the return at a set time.
